Exodus- This is not the response I expected....

Exodus 5: 10-14
And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and thy spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not aught of your work shall be diminished.
So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
And the taskmaster hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
What Happened? After many years of seeking God for deliverance we believe He had heard our prayers and was now at this very time going to set us free. Only to find out that we are going to be persecuted even more. How could this be of God?
What would be our thoughts, concerns and response if this were to happen to us?

I have to tell you Debrah, you're giving me some tough things to ponder over. Thank you...(I think). :D
